The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

Post by Xadik Thu May 28, 2015 3:15 pm

From the forest of dead trees surrounding the town, two figures stepped out into the moonlight, looking over the scenery. They both looked around and started whispering to each other before they turned their attention towards the town. The shorter one of the two started to head towards the center of the village, a hood draped over their head and the shadow it cast hiding most of his or her face. Out from under it a pair of icy blue eyes peered out at the figure's surroundings. Whoever this was was clearly looking for something, as they were checking both high and low, and even sniffing the air. They turned back to the taller figure and shook their head. The two of them started to walk to the center of town, and the profile of the taller figure became visible. This one was clearly a guy, with dark red hair that had some unkempt spikes to it and went down to his shoulder. He was wearing an unbuttoned trenchcoat and a pair of gloves that were purple and dark red, and the rest of his attire was as black as the night sky. He didn't seem to have any weapons on him, but his companion was carrying both a pair of guns and a bow.

Halloween Town. A place so spooky it was almost cartoonish. Also a great place to go for naps. Especially the graveyard. There was this odd hill that swirled unnaturally that was a great place to lay down and watch the stars above. As he laid upon the hill, he sighed. Finding people to make deals with wasn't easy as he thought it would be. Well, making deals with normal people was easy. They were too easily convinced and consumed by their greed. But they offered nothing of substance in return. Iscor didn't want money. He didn't want eternal gratitude. He wanted something they couldn't supply. Power. How unfortunate for him.

The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty Re: The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

While the others did roam the town bustled with life or rather a variety of oddities all brought together by the comforts of community. Monsters of every type, shape, and sized lurked and swayed through the cobble square. The lanterns lined around the core lighting their paths while the stars in the eternal night sky danced on end. Their beauty complimenting the dark and yet serene atmosphere.

Yes it was here all monsters gathered in a community of acceptance. All together by a common cause and state of living. Well all except for one. From the shadows of a back alley street stepped a an unusual specimen even for the likes of this world. A humanoid who wasn't necessarily human. No in their wake they did retain a humanistic state and yet their definition was more scaly. Paws in place of feet, claws in place of fingers, and eyes slitted like that of a snake. A union of animal and man that resulted in one unique living being.

Out into the square Tech lingered on her own terms. Mind lost in her own business as her clawed toes clacked against the ground below with each step. Unaware and even more uncaring to any looks she might be given. She went through the main of town claws deep in her pants pockets. An unlikely event, wearing pants as a female for the first time in forever. Generally it was too constricting and in their place she wore a set of black underwear. Not this day though, for whatever reason her half nude preference didn't stick.

In her mind thoughts came and went. Mainly one in particular if she were honest. Not that it was anyone else's business.

The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty Re: The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

In a glistening burst of crystals, a pale young man stumbled from out behind a building, clearly disoriented by his arrival. Dressed in a black attire consisting of pants, boots and a simple sleeveless shirt, he glanced around the town square, taking in the very odd sights and sounds. He had never before been to this world, and he could not expect to fully comprehend it. Brushing the strands of navy blue hair out of his face, he allowed a pair of golden eyes to shine brightly. He felt as if there was a time that he had been here once before, long ago, but the thought quickly vanished from his mind.

Wandering about, Seth made his way towards the fountain in the center of the town. Normally, he would have been quite putoff by the strange creatures wandering about, but then again, he almost lost his ability to fear anything since he became… whoever he was anymore. He gazed into the fountain, glancing at his face, and wondering why the most familiar visage was staring him back. I really need to stop questioning things anymore and find things to do… Seth repeated to himself in his mind as he turned away and began to explore the town.

The two figures entered the main square and looked around. It certainly looked lively for a place that's supposed to be filled with dead things. Ren motioned for Kai to go ask a group of citizens as she noticed an unusual something, something that seemed familiar, but she couldn't place her finger on it. She started to approach the lizard lady, with the male keeping a close eye on her as he asked around for what they were looking for.

Still very much lost in her own abandon Techtile proceeded forward towards the fountain centerpiece. Completely unaware of both people and surroundings. Such ignorance that often led to accidental or otherwise unfortunate events. Which as luck would have it was no exception to this day either. Lost past point of recognition as she did step down she did so on a nearby man with raven hair. No sooner did she finally notice was it too late. Hell unleashed within seconds Tech was immediately knocked off balance and forced from her toes. Weight shifted in such a way that she tripped over Seth and was sent tumbling forward.

In this case the two were not the only to suffer. As a hooded figure approached Tech from the front resulting in the reptilian catching them on the way down and inevitably taking the figure with her. Three people caught for the price of one accident. What a chain event of reactions. Down against the cobble both Tech and the hooded person went. Tech landing atop them, muzzled face forced between what felt like a female's set of breasts. Both surprising and as time went by very inviting.

Always with the bumping. Seth shot a quick glare over at the strange woman who had tripped over him. With a surprise, this was some sort of… lizard. For one reason or another, there was a familiar feeling awakening in his head, much like when he had encountered Axis in Traverse Town. Once again, he had absolutely no idea where this was coming from, but whatever it was, it was going to be constantly bothering him. Glancing at his reflection, he noticed that his own appearance was modified in this world, becoming more feral than normal.

It took him a moment to realize that the tumble had resulted in one more bystander being involved in the crash, and with such, he felt it in his mind to actually check on them. Clearly, this reptilian lady had about as much perception as a blind goldfish. Why he was feeling like she had deserved to be thought about rudely, he had no idea. With a sigh, he shook his head and walked over to the fallen strangers. “Are either of you okay down there?” Seth asked, a slight hint of concern in his voice.

Suddenly and without warning, Ren lost track of her physical location, tumbling backwards. She hit the cobblestone with a thud, but was more concerned about the person on top of her. While familiar, she couldn't recognize them at all. Unfortunate, for some stranger was fondling her in a way she didn't appreciate.
"You know, it's extremely rude not to bad a woman dinner before you cop a feel."
She said it calmly, but one look in her eyes and you could almost feel fire, even though they were icy cold. The male she'd been traveling with was running over towards them when some stranger showed up, looking down at her and asking what was in her mind a rather silly question.
"I believe I'm fine injury-wise, but there's this ruffian touching something they have no right to be. Does seem kind of familiar though."
The guy showed up and looked down at her.
"Ren, are you okay?
Not him too. Siiiiigh. She shook her head and asked for their help getting up, hoping the other person would get up of their own accord and not have to be forcefully removed. She really didn't want to start a fight and ruin her chances at finding what she came here for.

Little humans and their little sympathies. What a joke. Not to mention their often habit of getting in the way. If it wasn't one thing it was another with their species. A rumble of concern and aggravations started in as both the raven haired boy and another man approached the crash site. All the while Tech could feel the woman's body twitching and heating up. Just on body language alone she was clearly not pleased. Her words merely confirmed the obvious. Even so Tech thought twice on her command. Regardless of any trouble or backlash. The advantageous position she had on this woman was just too good to pass up.

Muzzle deep in soft, squishy, lovable flesh Tech embraced the sensations for a moment before leaning up her head to look at the woman's furious face. In her icy blue eyes a rageful passion like wildfire brewed but little did the reptile actually care. With a slowly growing smirk Tech merely spoke with a cocky sort of tone. "Ruffian. Maybe. But damn I know a fine body when I see one and let me tell you Miss you do not disappoint." Obviously pleased with the outcome a rather lengthy green tail started to thud lightly against the ground.

Ren held out her hand to Kai, who grabbed it. Ren looked down at the person between her breasts.
"If you don't let go soon, your face could end up hitting the pavement."
Definitely lizard. But human too. This was extremely well done DNA splicing. Old technology though. Ren looked up at the wrist next to the hand Kai was holding. Nevermind, it hadn't yet been discovered. Everything had gotten so confusing lately. She missed the good old days. Alas those days were gone, and in this current moment she had a slight nuisance to deal with. If the lizard lady didn't let go soon, there would be some problems soon. Her brother definitely wouldn't put up with this, would he?
No, apparently he would. He was looking away, whistling as if he didn't see what was going on - waiting for her signal to pull her up. He must still have some sensitivity to the past. Future? Time was confusing, best not to think about it.
Back to the matter at hand.
"I'm serious. I have to get back to searching for someone. Time is of the essence so if you could please get off me? I won't count to three, you know. I'm not your mother."
Heh. Time.

The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty Re: The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

Caught as a witness to a very awkward situation, Seth couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow and shake his head at the events unfolding before his eyes. Truly, whatever this lizard person was, she clearly had absolutely no regard for anything other than what it was that amused her. Having been quietly standing by for the most part, he figured that he may as well get involved before someone decided to do something stupid. So, of course he was going to be the one to do something fairly stupid. Walking over to the lizard, he reached down and grabbed her by the arm, using his strength to pull her up. “You really need to learn not to be ‘That Person’” Seth said calmly. Quite frankly, this creature’s attitude was getting on his nerves.

As he stared at the lizard woman more, even more familiarity began to spread to him, but where it was coming from, or what its possible connection could be? He had no idea. If only he was somehow part reptile, he could spit acid or something and do something badass. That would be cool. He kinda started to see where the lady was coming from, being a lizard would be pretty damn cool. But the fact of the matter was that he was pulling her off before she decided to cause any trouble. “No means no, you know?”

The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty Re: The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

"Temper temper. Then again there's nothing quite like the charms of a woman with a little fight." True to the words there really was no comparison to a woman with a strong arm and the means to use it. That was when she wasn't an incessant moody child. Which one look at this one was a fifty fifty chance at best from first judgement. In the life and times of someone who only wanted a little attention in all the best ways. It was important to avoid the ones that would otherwise cause a scene in all the most annoying ways possible. A trait which seemed likely as Tech looked upon the hooded woman but at the same time. The soft abundance that was her chest matched with the compliment of wondrous curves in all the right places. It was down right temptation at it's finest.

Damned the consequences Tech would indulge it all for as long as she could or rather she would have if not for an interference. Disturbed yet again by the nuisance that was man. They just never knew when to quit. The moment Seth made contact Tech merely rolled her eyes and lifted herself from Ren. Claws raised up in a gesture of submission as she rose back to her feet. The moment she was she wasted no time in forcibly nudging her arm free from his grasp. Intervention or not the last thing she wanted was to be touched by anyone other than those she allowed. To touch her was a privilege to be earned and by that logic he was already breaking the rules. He was lucky she did break a finger for it.

Not loosing a single inch of the wide grin on her muzzle Tech merely shook her head and chuckled slightly. A few steps being taken back as her hands fell back down to her sides. Ren's last comment about three counts and motherly duty amusing her in horrible ways. "Believe me Lady, even if you were, you wouldn't want to be my mother for long." A smaller chuckle followed as she continued. As smug as ever as she spoke. "For lack of better words my mother was a bitch. Doubtful you want that reputation."

"Yeah well, I'd happily take the title on if it meant nobody would bother me while I look for clues."
Ren got up, Kai helping her to her feet as she dusted herself off. It had been both a long time, yet no time had passed, since Ren had last been here. She didn't know if there were any clues to be found, or if who/what she was looking for could be found.
"Do either of you live around here, by the way? Maybe you can help."
Kai turned away and went back to asking around the town, since Ren didn't really need his assistance now that she wasn't so disturbingly pinned down.

"Guess again." Tech remarked with a roll of her eyes. Already growing increasingly disinterested the more time went on. It was great to have a purpose and all. Whatever, go for it. She wouldn't stop the woman from doing what she do. However if that was the case Tech wanted no part playing someone's search dog. As often as she had seen people about the worlds with the same cause. She knew where this asking for information card usually went. By pure instinct alone she knew it was time to go before she could dragged into someone else's problem. "Well not that this isn't fun and all..." There was not a single attempt to hide her lack of concern. "But this is where I step out. Places to be, other fun bags to enjoy, so little time." Having said her part Tech turned and began to walk away. Past the crowd and back across the stone square. Till she all but disappeared around a corner. Her tail the last thing to disappear into the abyss of night.

Ren shrugged and looked at the man nearby, expecting an answer from him. Meanwhile, Kai had decided to go search the graveyard, since the townsfolk weren't of any help. He figured that the graveyard would prove whether his sister's ex was still alive or not - this place didn't seem like one to skimp on funerals.

The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open) Empty Re: The Dawnbreaker's Hunt - Part 1 (Open)

Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. Though glazed with a surface coat of wonky delight somehow exceptionally in sync with the general morbid theme of the world. Like a choreographed dance with two partners in perfect unison. One complimented the other in presence as the days came and went at the leisure of the people. A world of quaint appeal in the eyes of many and a strange mystery in others. For the presence that stepped ever lightly along it's cobbled pathways. It was an interesting little hide away producing just enough darkness for comfort but at a rate that allowed for a decent state of being through out the populace. Both madness and harmony hand in hand.

Across the stone, through the streets, passed the princely male and straight on to the town square. A figure as equally princely in presets made their way. Posture poised, steps precious, movements graceful. Like any well trained noble in the youngest years of their lives and yet far from grasp of nobility. Just another figure putting forth effort for the sake of appearance. For what was life without a little charm. Boring indeed and with little beauty to appreciate.

Strand of blonde hair flowing from their face. Slender black tail bobbing and swaying behind with each step forward. Body slim and trim with an outfit that was freshly kept but far from fanciful. Behind silver rimmed frames slitted orbs of amber fixture glowed faintly in the dark. That's wasn't all, pure black horns twisted and to point remained atop head. From head to toe the person was monstrous and yet highly attractive. Both blending in with the general consensus of the population while also standing out above the rest. Even with such eye catching features, it would be hard to decipher his true nativity and with it his fearful identity.

Glances given as he passed on by, attention appreciated with each fleeting acknowledgement. Let them stare. Eyes were meant to look. Which funny enough as he entered the steady pace of the town square his seeking eyes took note of one particular specimen. A woman of lovely design, hair as white as the freshest snowfall with eyes the reflected the icy influence that follows. A storm in plain sight given form as the spirit of a person. No doubt the intensity brimming on the surface of it's wondrous conduit.

Generally enticed he turned course and approached both the white haired woman and the blue haired male she proceeded to talk towards. The boy proving an unresponsive partner in the attempt of conversation. No matter, forward he would approach the two of them. More focused on the woman than anything else but if necessary willing to indulge the boy as well. Besides two could always be better than one with the proper interjection of persuasion.

With a gentle smile as he grew closer, he entered the scene. In doing so taking a place between them both. A bow of the head acting as a polite means of introduction. "My my, such sad faces. What troubles such youthful souls as yourselves." As per the norm his voice was soft spoken and calm. His natural sense of friendly charm showing as it often did by standard.

While Ren was starting to become impatient, the freak just looking like a doll at this point, since he wasn't speaking or reacting, Not that he'd done much in the first place. Ren saw someone new approaching, and this person was clearly more alive then the fellow she was currently interacting with. She turned to him as he approached and let him introduce himself, or not - for he just simply asked a question. Third time tonight she'd heard it too, although this time it was worded more eloquently. Possibly royalty?
"Well, nice to hear something other than 'are you okay?' come out of someone's's mouth tonight."
She glanced over at the first guy, then towards the graveyard where she could see Kai on his way back already.
"I'm hunting someone I used to know. I haven't seen them in quite sometime, and have no leads as to their current location. I just know they used to rule this world."
Kai walked over and spoke up before the other man could.
"Ren, no gravestone had her name. So either she's still alive or buried elsewhere."
