Ren Hitaro, the Dawnbreaker

Personality: Ren tries to keep calm at all times, and doesn't seem to care about anyone other than the few people she loves. She can be quick to anger, however - especially when others are forcefully invading her personal space. While she doesnt have angry outbursts like her brother, she will hold the grudge for a long time and plot her revenge.
Appearance:Ren is 5 feet, 10 1/2 inches tall, with long gray hair that has icy blue and black streaks throughout it. Her hair goes down halfway between her shoulders and her waist. She wears something akin to an Assassin's outfit (from Assassin's Creed). The outfit is colored with the same icy blue , gray and black theme as her hair streaks. She usually keeps the hood down, unless she's hunting something. She doesn't use many weapons, with only a pair of pistols on her waist and a bow and quiver on her back.

History:
On her home land of Vunetra, Ren was born a twin. Now while that may not sound unusual, on their planet it was extremely rare. The magic that created their world bound each child with a single soul, and so it was rare for there to be two kids in a single birth. Two children at once meant a split soul, so neither of them would be complete unless they killed the other to regain their lost soul. Or so it was thought.

Anyways, both Ren and her brother Kai were left to their own devices as they grew up, since their parents were the King and Queen of the realm. Around the age of eight, they were both given combat training - in which Kai discovered that even though he was really good with a wide variety of weapons, he didn't enjoy fighting at all. Ren, on the other hand - was only good with ranged weapons, mainly guns. And while she didn't enjoy fighting either, she did enjoy hunting. She enjoyed it so much that she would disappear for days on end to go hunt wildlife. This worried both Kai and his parents although for different reasons. His parents were worried that she would end up hunting her brother if she ever found out that they were splitting a soul, and he was worried because he didn't know she was safe.

This pattern continued until they were 17. Ren had become increasingly distant from her brother as he started maturing and flirting with the various girls at the academy they were enrolled in, and Kai thought it was just because he was beating her to the punch (since he knew that she was at least bi, if not a lesbian - she'd never shown interest in most of the boys there.) but that didn't stop him from flirting with them anyways. However, it was because Ren had learned of the issue with them sharing a soul - that if the soul was split for too long it could start to disintegrate, and they would both potentially die. She didn't want to take her brother's life to save her own, but she also knew that he would never take hers, and she was at a loss as to what to do about it.

Eventually she went to Kai, during their summer break before their senior year, and she told him everything that had been on her mind. Kai was flabbergasted and outraged at their parents for not telling them this sooner, and he vowed to his sister right then and there that he would figure out another way for them to both survive. Over the next year he spent his free period researching ways to split the soul looking for a way that he could reverse, and researching any potential way to put the soul back together. There was only one solution that could save both of them. It was a solution that neither of them really wanted to do, but time was running short, and it was either shared dirt or blood on one of their hands. So they waited for the perfect opportunity, a night in which they were at home instead of the academy, and their parents were throwing a ball so they wouldn't be missed among the crowd. Then they went and performed the "ritual" to heal their soul by using their bodies to rebind the soul's connection, which is thankfully something they don't have to do very frequently.

After healing their soul, they were both too ashamed to spend time together, so they both came up with an excuse to go traveling. They went their separate ways and Ren eventually came across Halloween Town. It was here that she met the only woman she's ever truly loved - Axis. The time they spent together was the only time Ren was ever truly happy. The happiness was only to be temporary though, for Axis and Ren were torn apart. Ren became despaired and gave into the darkness within her own heart, becoming a nobody. It was in this state that she was reunited with her brother, Kai.

The two traveled together until he found a way to restore her to her true self. Upon returning her to her true self, they decided to continuing traveling together, to keep each other safe and protect each other from the ill fate again. He tried to teach her some of the techniques he'd learned along her travels, and she tried to teach him some of hers. While neither of them were actually compatible with the other's skills, they both learned some new tricks anyways.
