Greed is a cold and untrusting. At every opportunity he will connive or otherwise plot to make any given situation more beneficial to himself. While he does not covet what others have, he is always desiring to be more powerful, socially, monetarily, or combat-based.  Greed enjoys decadence and elegance, regardless if he actually enjoys an activity related to it. He will go out of his way to feed his expensive tastes and flaunt his prose.

Greed is his attempt to create an Ultima weapon. Back when Greed was human, he created a golem made out of  strong flesh and implanted his consciousness inside it with his superior Synthesis abilities. This pursuit was born from his desire to be immortal and eternally research his creations, constantly improving and striving to create the ultimate weapon and prove his genius. Once he holds such status, he will be able to take whatever he wants and make it his own.. his ultimate desire.
