Personality: Despite having been raised among magic users for most of her life, she is still curious of all aspects of magic. However, she doesn’t tend to talk much around people she doesn’t know as well. Those she is comfortable around will tend to get an earful from her, usually tending to be about magic. Despite how insistent her lectures can be, she does have the best intentions in heart and the advice is usually worth taking note of.

History: Dahina was born within the walls of the holy city of Consacra, daughter of the famous mindbender Sothec Convocan and his wife Adelaide Convocan. Whether it was a kink in either of their bloodlines, Dahina was born without the eyes of the Jer, the Zentrum Sein. This marked young Dahina as a Bastard Jer, and regardless of the social standing of her parents, the penalty for it was clear: she would forever live in servitude for pleasure to the higher sect of the Holy Order. Even though Sothec devoted his life to the Holy Order, he couldn’t bare with such a thing, and fled Consacra with his family.

They later arrived in the city of Vadicus. At the time, it wasn’t that much, but when Sothec met with other renowned names in the community of magic, the Thaumaturge Lucian dei Caduti and scholar Betharan Argal, they formed the Mages’ Guild in the city of Vadicus and turned it into a center of magic. However, with his status as a renegade and growing reputation as an archmage, Sothec decided to leave the city of Vadicus, keeping his wife and young Dahina in the care of the other archmages.

Adelaide was devastated when this happened. She would wait days and nights for him, leaving Dahina being cared for by the archmage Lucian. He would usually keep her busy with books on magic, teaching her spells and the history and application of magic. Several months after Sothec’s departure, Adelaide snuck out of the city, leaving behind a note for Lucian to take care of Dahina until she returned with her husband. News of Adelaide’s death arrived a little over a week later.

From that point on, Lucian acted as a father to Dahina, and taught her the greater aspects of magic. At the age of 16, Dahina became an official apprentice of Lucian. Two years later, the scholars of Vadicus discovered something disturbing: the seal preventing access of their world through Kingdom Hearts has been broken, allowing swarms of Heartless to cascade into the world. Lucian took action immediately, bringing along only what was needed, he took Dahina and fled the world through an ancient Danann artifact: the Eye of Ruunda Eolas.

The two of them traveled among the worlds that included the Deep Jungle and Traverse Town before they both settled in Port Royal. It was a bit rough, but they felt safe from the Heartless there. After a few months of studying under oil lamp, a young woman named Aqua came by. After Lucian was convinced of Aqua’s potential, he assigned Dahina to her, telling her to share each other’s experiences and discover even greater uses for magic.

Other Notes: She has a tendency to pull her hat down over her face whenever she’s embarrassed.
