Asura Nin
The Desert Reaper
Female | 20 | Human
Heart of Darkness
Moon | Water | Earth
Personality
Asura isn't a person of many words, she prefers to stay quiet unless necessary. She is often described as hollow and empty due to her lack of response to other peoples words, in this she barely gets offended. Her general persona comes off as quite serious and "strictly business". Asura is a loner, she is rarely attached to anyone or thing. Due to being a loner, she isn't aware of social boundaries or how to make friends, however if she does become attached to someone she will stay loyal to them. Her sense of humor is quite dark and a lot of her comments are usually sarcastic and condescending. She'll insult others simply by pointing out their faults without even realizing... or caring. Asura definitely isn't the hero type, if someone is in danger she isn't one to jump in and help out unless she gets something out of it, she'll probably just stand and watch until they need help then make a deal with them.
Appearance
Asura stands at 5'6'' feet tall giving her an average height for a woman her age. She is quite slim and well toned as a result of a lot of walking and exercise. Her skin is a radiant dark tan as her eyes are a deep hazel. Asura has shoulder length, wavy, black hair that is often down or hidden behind head scarfs. Asura usually wears typical desert attire for an Agrabah citizen. Her torso is wrapped tightly with bandages and covered with small cloaks and scarves, she wears three-quarter pants that hold tightly around her waist and calves but are flowy and loose everywhere else, for shoes it is always sandals.. or bare feet.
History
Asura is a descent of a noble family in Agrabah, however, her mother was a peasant and so, the girl would grow up as a peasant not knowing who her father is. Living under constant struggle and poverty Asura was quick to learn that nothing in this world is easy to gain. Despite these living conditions, Asura never stole a thing, not even just one simple pawpaw from the markets. As a sensible young girl she knew of the consequences it would have on her. So as it went, she and her mother lived in trials until Asura could make something of herself, to work.
It was at the age of sixteen Asura had met a bunch of treasure hunters who didn't live in the city. As far as Asura knew that was the only place to live in this desert. After seeing the riches they made from treasure hunting in the desert she insisted that she could be taken on board with them. Through this time she was taught that the treasures they stumbled upon weren't owned and were there for the taking. Though it was easy-ish money Asura learned quickly how to survive in the desert for weeks as this was how long it would sometimes take to find treasure. This was a great time in Asura's life, she was bringing in enough money for her mother to be able to live in the upper class areas of Agrabah. However, Asura never stayed in the city for long, she enjoyed the desert, being away from people and the adventure that the desert involved.
It was one day that Asura decided to go into the desert without the group that her life would change. She didn't find any treasure however she found someone. The first thing the stranger noticed was that Asura had water. It was clear he was on the brink of death from dehydration, he didn't seem like someone to roam the desert or even be from Agrabah, however he offered her a special gift for a drink of her water and a way to safety. Though she was wary at first she accepted it. Asura brought the man back to Agrabah and even took the liberty to give him more clean water and restore his health. The stranger that Asura had supposedly saved was as it seemed, someone from a completely different town.. or city.. or world. The gift he gave to Asura was one he'd probably regret now, he gave her the gift of magic and information. Information about there being other worlds, that people like him would end up in the desert a lot while traveling, that they'd be stuck if it weren't for people like her.
Over the years Asura learned many different skills. What she used her magic for mostly was being able to last in the desert for longer, though she still found treasure for in come, she enjoyed the desert for being alone but most of all, there were travelers, they were the key to finding more things out there either that or Asura was always willing to make a deal. In the end, they'd trade their soul for just a glass of water.
