Mors Mundi (W.I.P) Empty Mors Mundi (W.I.P)

Post by Mors Mundi Thu Dec 29, 2016 3:54 pm

TARGET INFORMATION FILE:

TARGET NAME: Mors Mundi
AGE: 27
SPECIES: Somebody

KNOWN ELEMENTAL AFFINITIES:
1.) (Heart) Darkness
2.)Space
3.)Thunder
4.)Ice

KNOWN TRAITS: Mors isn't a very friendly person. He likes to be alone, and will avoid any type of alliances unless he absolutely has to. He is very cold, calculating, and can strike at a moments notice. DO NOT show any type of mercy towards him, in any sense. He will always take the kill shot, and will not hesitate to end you.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Mors is a bit shorter, standing about 5'9. He weighs around 160 pounds, very slim but muscular. He has shoulder length black hair that waves in front of his face, with a white streak in his bangs. He has various writing tattoos all over his body, normally in a script type black font. His eyes change colors constantly, going from red, blue, green, gray etc, cycling like a back lit keyboard (explanation in history)

TARGET BACKSTORY: Mors's story is a complex one. Born to a family of religion, he was always... different. He was only six years old when it happened.... It all started when he was playing outside, dead middle of winter as the blizzard had just let up. Him and his older brother had been building things in the snow, throwing it around, having winter fun.

"Bet you can't catch me!" Mors yelled at his brother while running towards the frozen lake.

"You think you can outrun me? You're on!" he laughed while chasing his little brother. They played on that lake every year, for it was normally frozen solid. But this time... this time was different. Mors ran into the dead center, slid on his knees and looked back at his brother, who was still a good 40 feet away.

"Told you you couldn't catch me" He said with a chuckling and sticking his tongue out at him. Then, he heard a loud crack. The ice was breaking!

"Mors!" his brother yelled while trying to run faster towards him, but slipping every time he seemed to get a grip.

"Markus!" Mors screamed as the ice broke, plunging him into the water. Soon, the entire lake was cracking. Markus was forced to retreat from the lake, slipping and sliding all over the place, he barely escaped  as the ice finished breaking. He ran back to his house as fast as he could.

"Mom, Dad! The ice on the lake broke, Mors fell in!" His mother let out a shriek as they all ran towards the lake. But when they got their, Markus couldn't believe was he was seeing. The entire lake was... was frozen solid. Frantically, they all made their way towards the center, where Mors had fallen in. Solid. Their father tried to break the ice, using a pickaxe. But the entire lake was solid, no water running under it, no signs it had ever broken... Just a giant block of ice. They tried for weeks, picking away at the ice trying to recover their sons body, who they had assumed dead. But every time they would make progress in breaking the ice, it would self repair the next day.

"It's been four weeks... I think it's time to give it a rest Mark" His wife would say, resting her head on his shoulder and crying.
"Let's get home, I'll get you something to eat."

Time would pass, winter turning into spring, and spring to summer, yet, no matter how warm it was, no matter what season it was, the lake remained frozen. It remained that way for 10 years.

One day, a little old lady sat beside the lake.

"You've been in here for quiet a while, why do you stay?" She seemed to be speaking to the lake. The conversation lasted for a few hours, till the lady stood up and spoke softly, "It's time for me to go, I think you should do the same. Here, let me give you a hand." She tapped the ice with her cane and walked away. As she was walking away, where she had tapped on the ice, it began to give way. Melting, breaking apart, the lake appeared to be turning back to normal! A boy, who looked to be in his mid teens, washed up to shore naked and unconscious. The old lady just kept walking away, saying one last thing on her way out.

"You might need these." She tapped her cane on the ground, causing a white sparkle to circle the boy. As it subsided, he seemed to have a dark red monk robe on.

"I'll see you soon, Mors."

"Where... where am I?" his eyes slowly fluttered open. He began to try and stand, stumbling a few times before he was capable of standing. Slowly but surely, the memory of the place had began to come back to him. He began to walk, still having a bit of an issue with doing so straight. It took him the better part of an hour to finally reach the door of his childhood home. He knocked firmly on the door. The door opened, with a gasp behind it, Mors falling to the ground in exhaustion.

"Mors, is... is that you?" A gentle female voice would say.

"Mom?" Mors's eyes would flutter open yet again.

"It is you! Wait, what's going on with your eyes?" She was taken back in shock. His eyes were... shifting colors rapidly.

"I don't know how... or what enabled you to survive, but you're home now, that's what matters." His fathers voice would echo from the other room.

The next day came, and Mors was resting. A sudden knock on the door, followed up by a greeting would wake Mors up from up stairs. He could hear the conversation.

"Good morning Father, what bring you here this morning?" The voice of his dad would say, implying he was talking to a priest.

"Good morning to all of you." The priest spoke.
"There is... something I have to speak with you about." Most of the proceeding conversation was said in what sounded like a whisper, so hardly any of it could be made out. Till a scream could be heard.

"I just barely got him back, you are not taking him from me!" A female scream in anger would echo throughout the house.

"You don't know what he is, none of us do. Nor do we know what dangers he brings forth. He needs to come with me until we figure out what he is capable of!" The priest would yell back. Mors would run down the stairs, to see what the commotion was about. The priest locked eyes with him.

"Your eyes... your aura... You need to come with me boy."

"I'm not going with you, and you need to leave."

"You are mistaken, child, I wasn't asking. This is for your own protection." The priest moved close to him, at almost lightning speed and hit him in the back of the neck, knocking him out cold.

"Father, you can't do this!" Mark would yell and run at him. The priest would quickly move behind Mark and grab him around the neck.

"You must not interfere with God's plan. And now, you'll be punished." The priest starting speaking in a foreign language, which sounded to be Latin. After he was done speaking, Mark gave out a loud scream. His eyes began to burn out of his sockets.

"I'm taking him now, don't worry, he will be safe with us." He grabbed Mors and almost instantly disappeared.

(Now at the church's study)

"Father, it appears to be some sort of magic aura around him, almost like a spirit of some sort."

"Very good, keep studying, the prophecy says this boy is the key, we must know more about him."

"The aura seems to be protecting him from any of my analysis magics. We... We are going to have to seal whatever this thing is inside of him." The priest looked over, worried.

"I guess it has to be that way." The priest walked over, placing his hand over Mors's heart.

"The sealing will take about an hour, are you prepared for it?" Without waiting for a response, the priest began. The longest hour anyone has experienced was close to being behind them, the sealing was complete. Mors's eyes flashed open, the color changing had ceased. Mors began to slip in and out of focus, between consciousness and sleep.

"Very well, it is done." The priest smiled slightly, until a blade pierced his mid spine.

"Thank you priest, I couldn't have done it without you." The other man in the room would lay the priest down and close his eyes.

"Now then, I have direct orders to return you to your brother, safely. Best we get a move on, eh?" The man ripped his church robes off, revealing a tactile suit. He threw Mors over his shoulder and ran outside. As soon as they entered the outdoors, the man reached into his pocket and grabbed what appeared to be a small red cylinder from his pocket and threw it into the air. The cylinder exploded, shooting a giant red light into the air. Soon, a chopper could be heard from the distance.

"We've got the signal, moving in for extraction."

Moved to Markus Mundi's headquarters

"Well well well, look what we have here. Been a while, hasn't it?" A slightly familiar slowly brought Mors back to consciousness.

"Markus is that you?"

"No, it's ghost of Christmas past, yes it's me." Markus said sarcastically. "Get him up some new clothes, clean him up a bit, and bring him downstairs to get something to eat."

Mors made him way down stairs after bathing and getting new clothes.

"What is this place Markus?"

"This is our headquarters, our home. This is where we carry out our base operations."

"We? Who is we?"

"The team of course. You've already met one of them, Jack, the one who brought you here."

"What exactly do you do?" Mors was trying to focus on the conversation, but hunger kept stealing his attention. He sat at the table and grabbed some of the food to begin eating while Markus explained.

"Well, we are sort of..." Markus struggled to find the word he was looking for.

"Mercenaries" A voice from the back of the house coming from Jack would yell.

"Ah yes, mercenaries. Blades for hire. Make sense? We take care of peoples problems for a price. They call us, we send our operatives, and we take care of their issues, with whatever means necessary. We all have our specialties, but one thing we all have in common, we never fuck up our job. We have a reputation to uphold." Mors looked amazed, yet puzzled.

"Why would you bring me here? What's the purpose of all of this?" Markus gave a slight chuckle at hearing that.

"You see Mors, this is in our blood. This team was started by our grandfather, you know, the family dad never talked about? We are born for this Mors, and after news spread quickly of you, I knew I needed you here, before mother and father sank their hooks in you too deep. I brought you here to help you... I brought you here to train you."

"This is all happening too fast Markus. What about mom and dad? Do they know of this?"

"Our parents are a story for a different day Mors, one I'm sure you don't want to hear right now."

Weeks have past, Mors has been staying at the headquarters till he is fully recovered. Markus and Mors are walking down through the courtyard of the base.

"I've given thought to what you have said brother, but I still don't know if I want to join you in this profession." Mors said reluctantly.

"I understand, it's a lot to take in. You've been through a lot recently, and you're still so young. Tell me, do you remember much of what happened the day you fell into the lake?"

"Not much of it I'm afraid, though bits and pieces seem to come back to me. I remember you trying to run on the frozen lake after me, but couldn't get a grip. Then I remember going under the water, and light... a light that flashed all different colors just... surrounded me. The next thing I know, I woke up at our old house, older and scared to death. I don't know it just doesn't feel like I was completely out of it while frozen, I just feel like I'm forgetting what happened."

"I see... Perhaps it's just suppressed in your mind. You know, we have access to some of the best mages in existence, maybe we could see what they could do to help?"

"That just may be worth a shot."

"Alright, I'll make you a deal. I do this for you, and you join the team." Mors was taken back for a minute, not sure what to think. He weighed the pros and cons in his head. He looked at his brother.

"Markus, you have yourself a deal." Markus smiled from ear to ear.

"Meet me in the Grand Hall in two days, I will have the mages prepared."

GRAND HALL:

"Alright, just lay on the table while the mages prepare." Markus would say towards Mors, then gesturing one of the mages to him. "You know what to do." he'd whisper in her ear.

The mages surrounded him on the table. One stepped a bit closer.

"The first step to this spell, we must put you into unconsciousness. Do you agree to let us do that?"

"Yes, I agree"

"Then let it begin" One mage stepped up and put his hand on the forehead of Mors, putting him out like a light.
