Advertisement Event?

It would be fun, it helps the site get popular, and it brings a fun competition to the community.

We could have five winners, each getting a prize, the value or rarity being highest at first place?

I'm not opposed to something like this. It would both encourage activity on our end and spread our advertisement across the various other forums. We'd need to establish rules first, and of course I want to know what the rest of the community thinks.

Right.

Rules shouldn't be too hard, the staff could set specific checkpoints.

Ex:
First Place: 50 minimum
Second Place: 40 minimum
Third Place: 30 minimum
Fourth Place: 20 minimum
Fifth Place: 10 minimum

The members would still need to get more than the next person though, this creates fun competition. Also, I'm just using thiss was an example of one an old community I was on did, the site was deleted however. And nobody got their prizes because of it, which was a huge bummer on our end. But thats not relevant; I just fugured I'd bring the idea to this place.

There could be two levels:

How many sites you've advertised on and how many people you've referred.

For every site you advertise on, you get 1 point. For every person you successfully refer (where they make a character), you get five points.

Then the prizes could be like:
At 25 points, you get a prestige class character
At 50 points, you can get a T4 character
At 75 points, you get a chance to make your own race
At 100 points, you can make a prestige class
At 125 points, you can get a T5 character

Or stuff like that.

I'm for the idea!  I don't really have any specific tips or rules to help... But it sounds like it could be fun.

I was thinking we could maybe get bonuses for our characters themselves though, like an extra element or slots. Or some IC items.

I would prefer not to reward IC stuff with OOC activity.
