The Dragon Awokens [Open]

[Luxuria]

"You haven't left the cave before, are you sure you want to do this, Lux?" the Dragon named Alduin asked.

"Yes father. I will return tonight, I promise." Luxuria spoke on a calm tone.

A few minutes later...

The mountains were around her, and the girl was standing on the main road.

[Veara]

The mountains of this area were always a little harsh to him, however it did have the perfect ice for his ice cream shop back in Destiny Islands. With his duffle bag currently loaded with excellent quality ice from the mountaintop he walked down the path back towards the Imperial City.

Humming a tune to himself while walking down the mountain path he noticed that he wasn't alone. There was a girl on the road and she seemed alone. He looked around and noticed there was no one else so perhaps she was by herself and didn't know where she was going?

Well no need to be a stranger during these times he supposed. The worst he could be told was that she indeed did know this land."Hello there. Do you know where you are? You seem a little troubled?" He would ask the girl not realizing how weird he himself actually sounded in asking that question. Especially before even introducing himself.

[Zyvonia]

Zyv walked down one of the roads along the mountain. Her hands were shoved in the pockets of her hoodie, one of them playing with a metal orb absentmindedly. She yawned. She had been up since early in the morning just wandering around. She did that a lot. They got mad at her for disappearing at times, though she didn't really mind that. She didn't know why she didn't care more. Perhaps this was her in her rebellious stage? Was it really as trivial as that?

Zoned completely out while staring into nothingness ahead of her, Zyv was on autopilot. She kept walking and suddenly found herself walking into the back of some random stranger. She snapped out of her thoughts and quickly backtracked. "I'm really sorry about that," she said as she felt her face grow hot with embarrassment. She looked down at their feet. There were two pairs. The bigger of the two, who Zyv assumed was a guy, belonged to the person she had bumped into.

[Luxuria]

Those red eyelashes fluttered.

“I’m... em... at... the Mountain." Luxuria spoke on a quivering tone, whilst those fiery orbs widened like saucers. In reality, she had no idea what was the name of this place.

She backed down with heavy footsteps; frighten, due to the boy which stood beneath her gaze. The last human face which she was at least ten years ago, and all this time she only had the Dragon.

The sudden thud caused her to jump backwards; the grass, crumbled at her landing. Seeing another person caused even more panic around her hearth. Luxuria couldn’t tell her genre, the angle and hood forbidden her.

“Beware of the humans, Luxuria. They are not your friends.” the voice echoed within her head. Darkness was always there, keeping her company while the Dragon was away.

“Do not harm me!” Luxuria shouted.

[Veara]

Veara noticed that this girl seem troubled when suddenly she began to move backwards, however her footsteps were heavy much heavier then what they were before she had noticed him. Not to mention, her eyes widened upon noticing Veara it was as though the girl had just seen one of the ancient dragons of this land. Looks like he would have to be careful not to provoke or cause anything that would possibly trigger the girl or make her believe that was hostile.

Before he could say a word to the girl before him he felt something bump into him behind. Turning around he saw a girl that had to be in her tween years or early based on mere observations of height. There was a hood that hid facial features....perhaps she couldn't see where she was going? Veara sighed a little before bowing his head to the girl. "Pardon me-" He was however cut off by the girl in front of him who quickly began screaming asking for no bodily damage to come to her. "Umm miss I can ensure you neither of us plan on hurting you. I'm simply on my way to the imperial city." He stated in a firm yet friendly tone. He was taken back by the sudden shouting, however it was no reason to go on the offensive.

[Zyvonia]

Zyv forgot her embarrassment when the girl person suddenly screamed for them not to hurt them. She quickly stepped from behind Veara to get a better view of her. She seemed older than Zyv, though not quite an adult. She also had long, red hair and she had a peculiar stance about herself. It was different from how Zyv held herself, or how even the guy next to her stood. She then turned her attention to him. Older than them both. An adult, but still young. Zyv suspected him of being a shady character, though the tone he used and the stature he had indicated that he didn't seem shady.

Zyv wasn't really good with people. She considered herself smart and clever, but people were not her forte. However, she felt that perhaps some humor and silliness would let this girl see that they weren't a threat. With a mental shrug, she turned to the guy and jabbed him in the arm sharply.

"Hey, shady dude, don't be messing with random girls on the street," she said, her tone an exaggerated sharpness. "If you wanna flirt with girls, do so with those slags from Port Royal. They'll go for anybody, even somebody like you." She gave a quick, subtle wink to him, hoping he'd get that he should play along. She was panicking internally. She was floundering. She wanted to be funny or silly, but she didn't know how. Oh god, this was terrible. She just kind of wanted to die right then and there.

[Luxuria]

Luxuria calmed herself at the hearing of another girly voice.

She did not really understood the concept of her joke; however, that sweet sharpness calmed her soul.

The lad might have bowed in a respectful manner before her own fiery eyes, but Luxuria did not knew about such chivalry. That cave which she called home... sheltered her from any kind of human interaction, and the Dragon could only teach her so much.

“Don’t listen them. You are not like them. You are a Dragon.” the voice once more echoed, trying to deceive Luxuria. However, she did not listen this time.

The girl began scurrying her way behind Zyv. Despite her being a head smaller, Luxuria felt relatively safe around her presence.

“Imperial City?” Luxuria repeated, shivering within. It wasn’t visible on the outside, and you could only tell by touch.

[Veara]

Understanding that the current youngest of the group was merely trying to defuse a situation, Veara decided to play along with her joke. Taking off his horned hood and a small smirk added to his face he quickly shrugged. "Unfortunately, even those girls turned me down too. I just can't seem to catch a break in any world. Ya know?" He slightly chuckled after he was finished talking hoping they would realize this was a joke...only to have their redhead friend scurry behind the girl who was half her size....smooth Veara smooth. Veara was almost ready to give up and collect his damages until he heard the girl squeak out the place he mentioned. He suddenly lit up a bit hoping he could at least get enough trust in this case. Veara honestly wasn't much of a fan of being hated especially now that he was trying to start over. "Yes, The Imperial City. I'm heading there to collect some flavors for my ice cream. Wait manners... umm my name is Veara, I'm from Destiny Islands." He said his voice a little too chipper from when he had earlier spoken.

[Zyvonia]

Zyv was relieved when Veara played along, even if it was more out of pity for her rather than the terrified girl that she had been trying to calm down. It seemed to work to some extent, as the girl hid behind Zyv, which was quite odd since Zyv was a few inches shorter. Maybe she seemed like less of a threat than the other guy or maybe she just thought he was really shady. In either case, she was relieved that the girl seemed to loosen up, even if a little. Zyv didn't like it when people in this world were uncomfortable or anything less than content.

The girl inquired about the Imperial City. Apparently, the man--who introduced himself as Veara--was on his way there to eat some ice-cream. Yeah, he definitely seemed shady. Zyv made a note to keep an eye on him. He simply couldn't have traveled all this way just for ice-cream. Maybe he was a predator. She could always have him detained when they got to the city and interrogate him to find out his true purpose. Or maybe he was an idiot.

"I'm Zyv, I live here." Zyv frowned before correcting herself. "Well, I live in Imperial City, to be more exact. I'm headed back there right now."

[Luxuria]

“That man can’t be trusted. Just look at him, talking about some girls as if they are nothing more than tools for his own recreational time.” the voice echoed with that malicious intent of destroying her tranquility, the one which just formed and flickered faintly as a flame. Nonetheless, she felt safe while standing behind Zyv. In spite of her white and mature husk, Luxuria was nothing more than frighten young child inside, and outsider. Her heart was still pure, filled with Light, despite that onslaught of taint which Darkness kept shoving toward her.

Taint...

unbearable and mischievous.

A slight giggle escaped between Luxuria’s soft lips. The way that girl frowned and corrected herself, managed to force Luxuria’s lips within a smile. In reality, it wasn’t really that hard to approach her, and she only needed a good push and time to adjust herself towards this unseen world.

Basically, she was a stranger,

an outcast...

and last, but not least,

an outsider.

“My name is Luxuria, and it’s a pleasure meeting you...” she spoke before placing a small pause, although, she finished up by adding the word “--- both.” on a gentle, but yet worried tone.

Small particles of dust began to swirl beneath her footsteps, and with a pirouette the girl managed to relocate herself between Zyv and Veara before hosting her right arm, just so that she may point with that scrawny index finger against the mountains. While she pointed, the celestial sun was about to descend and hide beneath the towering peaks, making room for the dank and eerie night.

“I live there, with my father.” she added right after placing her own paw to a rest. Those red eyes of hers glittered against the sunlight, while the rest of fragile face was being basked within those strayed rays of light.

The ocean-like sky was now being overtaken by a crimson color. This particular day might have had a fair and calm start, but those roaring clouds were making their presence, invading like an army armed with thunders.

Rain might start pouring down soon...

[Veara]

When they both had finally introduced themselves Veara decided he should be careful with the next words that come out of his mouth. He couldn't exactly place his finger on it, however both of these girls seemed to be less then stellar to meet him. Maybe his clothing offended them? He quickly did a quick self observation of his own attire. Nothing was out of the ordinary and everything seemed in place at least to him it did. Tugging slightly at his orange scarf and loosening the tightness around his neck, he patted down his duffle bag. He quickly, however looked over at the place the girl now known as Luxuria pointed too. To be honest he wasn't that far from that current location a little while ago. That was near where he had just finished getting the high quality ice for his ice cream.

He smiled at both of the two girls before him still trying to keep a friendly disposition. Though honestly he didn't understand what the problem could be. Was it really this hard to be believe a man was in the middle of the land of dragons mountain range getting things for his ice cream shop?

....Now that he put it like that to himself, perhaps he could understand the slight uneasy feeling they were feeling.

"Well it's nice to meet both you Zyv and Luxuria. Why don't we go to the imperial city together, I mean it's always fun to travel with people rather then alone and perhaps one of you could point me to where certain flavors are sold when we get there?"

He asked them both with honesty within his voice. Unfortunately, Veara did not see just how currently creepy he probably sounded. Kindness only goes so far now a days as they say. Looking up he noticed that the clouds were coming together in this certain area. Perhaps rain it would soon rain in this area even more of a reason for them to get out of this area he supposed.

[Zyvonia]

"Mountains, huh?" Zyv mumbled as she looked where Luxuria pointed. Not many people lived in the mountains, as far as Zyv knew. Luxuria did seem skittish around people, so it would make sense if she spent a lot of her time alone, in the mountains.

Zyv turned her attention to Veara when he spoke. She narrowed her eyes. Was he trying to sound as suspicious as he could? She could leave and take Luxuria with her, at least, far enough away from this guy. But, he could follow them secretly and attack one of them. Ice cream was probably just a cover up for bodies of young people. It would better to keep an eye on him and simply have him arrested once they got to the Imperial City.

"Hey, Luxuria," Zyv said, turning towards the redheaded girl. "Wanna visit the Imperial City? It's better to travel in groups, anyways. And I know some good places that have delicious food."

[Luxuria]

Luxuria had to arrive home, although, she didn’t really knew how far or near was the Imperial City from her location, and due to her childish behavior, the red-haired girl accepted their offer.

“I would love to see the place.” she responded on a both exciting and squeaky tone.

At the hearing of food, the young girl’s stomach began to growl like a beast; indeed, she was hungry. Her cheeks turned red due to those humanly features which she possessed; however, she wasn’t taught to excuse herself regarding such occurrence.

“Are you sure you want to go with them? Alduin isn’t going to be pleased...” the voice once more echoed inside her thick skull, although, the young girl did not wish to miss the opportunity of befriending someone, and thus, she choose to ignore the Darkness once more.

Luxuria lived within a cave that was located within the Mountains, and she had no idea about the place which Veara referred to. She was a bit wary of this particular person, since she believed that his words were not entirely thoughtful.

[Veara]

Veara smiled a little at the reaction of Lux when food was mentioned. However he couldn't help but feel there was a little hostility when he talked earlier. He didn't understand it, however something told him not everything was currently alright. He decided to walk a little further ahead of the two girls, just incase they ran into anyone who tended to do them harm. Granted he would have to hold back big time, honestly at his current point in his life he was scared that perhaps two not pulled punches could kill a normal man. He shivered at the mere thought of this and balled his fist only for a second. He was quickly brought out of his musings, the chances of them running into robbers were low and heartless were nothing to worry about. As far as he was considered this would be a simple walk to the place.

"Well at least we won't have to worry about the rain we should be out of this area by the time it starts up."

He spoke to them humming as he walked while he tapped on the back of his duffle bag as if it were a drum.

[Zyvonia]

Luxuria agreed, as well as Veara. When Veara started walking, Zyv looked at Luxuria and shrugged before walking after Veara.

"So, Luxuria, why'd you decide to travel away from home? Just because?" Zyv asked.

[Luxuria]

“Oh... well, I never really went this far from home, so this is the first time that when I’m outside the Mountains.” Luxuria spoke while looking at Zyv, her tone was sincere and fragile.

“What about you, Zyv? Why are you here as well?” the red-haired girl asked on a curious tone, since she was the only one which did not state the purpose of her expedition.

They both knew that Veara was out for his “ice cream”.

[Ku Meixiu]

As the trio would walk along for a while, continuing their path towards the Imperial City, they would find themselves blocked by a towering beast of a man, clad in plate armor as dark as night and carrying a wicked halberd cross in hand, twirling it slowly as he glared at them. Lu Bu had a plan to kidnap the Empress in order to find stronger opponents to fight, his ever-growing blood lust for battle leading him to plan an event that would rock the world and probably send out more opponents for the Demon General to fight, of course, if they wanted to see their Empress again. So here he was, planning ahead of a rumor he had heard, waiting patiently for a chance to kidnap the girl.

And he was only slightly disappointed when he saw her traveling companions. Another girl and a puny little runt, both Lu Bu had forsaw them being easy targets and discarded quickly- after all, a drawn out fight so close to the Imperial City might prove more disastrous to his plans than he'd wanted- not that he'd ever decline a fight. Of course, Honor usually comes before Reason; so he wouldn't attack off the bad. A grumbling harrumph emanating from him, he would tell the trio: "Empress Zyvonia! I have come for your HEAD."

[Veara]

Veara continued to walk further ahead of the two putting a five feet distance between him and the girls. He couldn't help but shake the bad feeling that something was going to happen. Maybe it was the fact that the redheads name started with an L or maybe it was because the fact that it was going to rain soon. Although he couldn't put his hand on it. He felt it was currently needed to have some distance between himself and them. Suddenly a hulking mass appeared before all three of them blocking the path ahead. Veara stopped walking while they were still at least twenty feet away from the man and held his arm out to stop both the other two. Even from this far away he could see every detail on his armor and the fact that his Halberd seemed to be ready to taste blood.

When the man screamed out he had come for the empress, Veara twisted his head in confusion. Zyvonia? There was no Zyvonia, only Zyv......

.....Oh man he was stupid. Turning around and look at the two behind him, he quickly turned back to face his soon to be opponent.

"Listen to me...both of you, turn around and run. You need to find another way to the imperial city. I'll hold him off."

Veara spoke to both of them in a sudden serious yet quiet voice. The duffle bag that was currently on his left arm disappeared. Veara crouched  closer getting closer to the ground and moving forward very carefully.

[Zyvonia]

"I was just taking a day trip to a neighboring town," Zyv said with a shrug. She didn't bother to mention why. She didn't really like being in the Imperial City or being the Empress. Sure, it seemed like fun on paper, but in reality, there was too much responsibility and pressure on Zyv. So she just left most of the time to go do her own thing. The Land of Dragons could survive just fine without some teenage Empress telling them what to do.

As Zyv was wondering how life was for Luxuria in the mountains, there was suddenly a voice that shouted out to them. When she heard Empress and her full name, she groaned. She tried her best to stay under the radar and assume an unassuming appearance, but people were still bound to recognize her. And the guy who knew her this time was big and hostile. Really big. She swallowed. This guy wanted to kidnap her. Great.

Veara seemed to quickly change his demeanor, becoming more serious. He didn't seem scared or angry, he instead seemed to be ready for battle. Not in an excited "I like fighting" way, but it was interesting to Zyv that he was so willing to defend her. He was a foreigner here, so he didn't have any loyalty to her as the Empress, and he could simply walk away and go get his ice cream without a worry in the world. He was a little bit less shady than Zyv thought.

Veara told them to run, but would that be successful? "He's alone, which means that he either has people in waiting somewhere to ambush us or he's strong enough to think he can take on all three of us at once," Zyv said quickly. Her eyes quickly scanned the area around them. There were no signs of anybody else, but she couldn't be sure. "If only I could teleport or fly, this would make things a lot easier," she muttered to herself. She could get the Imperial Guard to come and detain this lunatic.

[Luxuria]

Everything was going quite well, until that booming sound assaulted her ears, forcing Luxuria to immediately shift her fiery eyes towards the source. That man was nothing more than a towering giant, and that image of his was really unpleasant towards Luxuria’s eyes, a whole image formed by those intimidating features of his.

“What’s going on? And what Empress is he talking about, this is all a mistake...” Luxuria said on a quivering tone while back down a bit; it was clear as daylight that she hasn’t really been in a fight before.

Without any more time wasted on her behalf and due to sheer fear, the red-haired girl began to mutter a few words before a pair of fiery wings began growing on her back. With the use of those wings, Luxuria elevated herself a few meters for the ground while keeping a watch over the group, since she didn’t really wished to abandon them.

An egotistical smirk crossed Lu Bu’s face as he watched the trio, reveling in the fact that they turned to caution when he stated his intentions. He watched the shrimp closely, eyeing the boy as Lu Bu began to scan what difference this boy might make to the towering hulk of a man. Finding nothing, he gave a laughing bark. “Yes, run little empress- after I slide this little shrimp out of the way, I will be coming for you.” He told the girl, a slight fire glowing in his eyes, keeping an eye on both the Empress AND the shrimp.

It made no difference to the towering hulk that the second girl had decided to grow wings of magical fire from her back and take flight; it didn't even matter if she flew to get help- Lu Bu did very much enjoy fighting. He readied himself with a smirk. “Come on then, shrimp. No use shriveling- come fight me!” He barked out.

[Veara]

Veara quickly responded to Zyv keeping his voice low he stopped moving forward after putting some space between himself and the two behind him."There's no one else, but us within this area. Stay away from this area just simply move back, I can't guarantee your safety unless you stay away from the area where he will currently be engaged." He finished speaking to her his voice was calm and collective though his face was stern and ready to fight. Trying to not give anyway of his current emotional feelings. The number one order of business being to take out the guy before him. His head quickly turned to the side when he felt the magic activate and he saw the red haired one take off to the sky. No doubt she was was probably frightened by this whole ordeal. "Get away from this area, and try to get her away from here too. I'm not sure she's ready to see a battle like this....nor are you." Veara spoke leaving no room for argument while walking forward towards the target. "I'll ask you once and only once, cease your actions or else I'll be forced you to subdue you. Stand down!"  Veara spoke in a clear voice walking toward the massive man despite what he currently said to him calling him a shrimp and other demeaning things.

[Zyvonia]

Almost as soon as she finished muttering those words wishing for flight, Luxuria sprouted wings. She hovered above them, though didn't abandon them. She seemed confused, for the most part. Zyv didn't blame her. She felt guilty. This was her fault. What if Veara got thrashed, or worse? What if Luxuria got caught in the crossfire? Zyv would either have to be more careful or get stronger from now on.

"Can you carry me and still fly?" Zyv asked, looking up at Luxuria. "If so, pick me up and let's quickly go to the Imperial City so we can get reinforcements."

[Luxuria]

"Uhm" the red-haired girl said before nodding a few times without any more thoughts given.

"You might have to guide me, since I do not know know the location of the place which you're speaking of..." Luxuria spoken before picking up Zyvonia. Despit the fact that Zyv may have had a slim physique, Luxuria wasn't as strong as she thought, and thus a bit of struggling was going to occur; nonetheless, the so called winged dragon was capable of carrying her.

Lu Bu watched with a feral glint in his eye, and a smug grin on his face. He had already ignored the Empress and that other weakling, having found something to fight right in front of him. Of course, this little shrimp thought he was a better man than he, trying to warn him off. Did he really think Lu Bu so weak as to dissuade him from fighting?

With a great huff of air, it turned into a ferocious roar as he charged towards the male, "Enough with the boredom! defend yourself!" he yelled at the male. After getting close enough to the male, Lu Bu would dig his feet into the earth, leveling all of his weight into one single attack, where it would be directed towards his torso.
