Wars happen, but sometimes its a little less than a war and little more like a hostile takeover. Either though a display of force, a display of diplomacy, or some other method of garnering the people's fear and obedience or love and respect world leaders can change. Since world leader is a position not governed by the world and instead by politics, it can be lost or won fairly quickly and easily.

A very common method of usurping leadership is brute force. A stronger incumbent arrives and forces themselves on the throne by overcoming the current world leader and through fear or benevolence exercises his new position of leverage to attempt to control them. After posting a topic that staff reviews wherein they attempt to subdue the populace, staff may grant this person leadership of the world if the content of the topic is sufficient.
