~♥ Welcome to the raid, kupo! Here is some information you need to know before you start posting. There is a limit to the number of times a character can post. This is so a fight won't go on and on, kupo. For these particular raids the limit is 10. On the last post, characters will need to prepare themselves for the end of the battle whether that be by retreating, setting up final defenses, sacrifices, etc. A warning will be given on the last post to remind you. That's all and have fun, kupo! ♥~

Something was stirring in the empire, far to the north in the frost covered mountains. No knew what it was and it was the last thing anyone wanted to think about. There was already an immediate threat that had their full attention. Hordes of Heartless had appeared and started attacking settlements all over the Land of Dragons. Things like this had happened before on a much smaller scale, but this was different. The Heartless were organized, creating successful ambushes on commoners and soldiers alike. These mindless fiends were now forming and following strategies that baffled even the empire’s revered officers. Everything was happening so fast that no one suspected where the source of the problem might be.

While the chaos was going on, high in the mountains the snow began to shift. One by one snow banks began to slip and fall apart. This gave birth to avalanches that rushed towards unsuspecting villages and swallowing completely—erasing them from existence. From the snow and rubble, a huge curved blade emerged followed by another. They towered above the ground and began to spin, quickly gaining momentum until the weather itself began to react. Clear skies were suddenly transformed into a raging blizzard, flinging icicles as sharp as daggers spinning through the air. Between the blades, the brown head of a cobra emerged and soon after the entire body of the Kurt Zisa Heartless. The giant Heartless gazed towards the capital and flung its heavy scimitars towards the ground. Snow and debris flew into the air before rolling down the mountain in another fierce avalanche that headed right for the imperial city.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

What was this? Chaos and panic in the capital? Well, that was surprising, considering that the Herald wasn't even planning to attack this world just yet. So what was causing this commotion? Judging by the numerous heartless swarming in and out, she could guess what made the people panic. Something was different though. Had they finally figured out to work like a machine?

Reaper awoke from its slumber, its golden eye darting to and from all directions, excited at all the hearts it could consume. The Heartless were a delicacy to it. The pure darkness of their hearts was flavorful, and fueled its power. With the sheer volume of Heartless available, no one was going to notice a few suddenly disappearing. And it was doubtful the people here would object to it.

Meikai took her demonic sword and whistled to catch the Heartless' attention. They attacked, and Meikai was quickly swarmed, but it wasn't like the times before. There was definitely someone who was directing them...

As she fought, the Blight spread from her feet, and crawled to expand. This allowed her to slow down her attackers' advances, and the unfortunate ones were sadly rooted long enough for her sword to open its gaping mouth and chomp the creatures, consumed their hearts, and spit out what was left as projectiles to deal with the flying ones. "This is much more entertaining," Meikai said with a little giggle. But she knew she'd be overrun in due time.

Just then, she noticed the giant in the mountains, causing an avalanche. From where she was, she'd be caught in that, and the Heartless she was fighting knew that too. They retreated back to their realm, or simply used a portal to get somewhere else. The blight that had spread coiled up and formed a large dome over Meikai's head as the ice, snow, and earth engulfed her area. She sat down in her dark chamber as she waited for the blight to assimilate the snow above, creating a network of tendrils that was slowly rising up to the top. Once it breaks the surface, it would give Meikai a way out for her chamber. But until then, she took a drink from her gourd. the vile liquid inside refreshing her.

The rumble of the world took the lonely nobody by surprise.. You see, he was but a mere traveler, the passerby in the street that was never remembered, the kid in the back of a class picture, the unimportant role-- stuff like that.

So with no knowledge concerning the recent heartless attacks, he was reasonably worried when they appeared out of no where. Then the avalanche in the distance came into his sights much to his dismay, he did his best to rush some of the human children into a line, which would head towards the Emperor's city. Though he was cut off by a group of intelligent shadows.

They circled him slowly, when one hopped forward the others struck at blind spots. This technique soon began ripping his clothes and drawing blood. His health was slowly draining and there was not much he could do about it. That was when he finally decided to will the element of water to smash the creatures.

Realizing the severity of this attack Sleep jumped onto the offensive instead.

His job would be to cultivate an answer, while also investigating the huge monster that was popping it's serpentine head out of the snow. Sleep blinked a few times while he moved from a loose jog into a sprint into that direction. He used this control of the waves to extinguish fires and strike at heartless chasing innocents on his run. But his primary goal was the Kurt Zisa, he had to get there quickly.

Upon getting to the base of the mountain, he channeled the snow and created an almighty thrust of blue water sending him up the mountain, to the feet of his enemy. The time to act was now...

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Thu Aug 18, 2016 1:52 am

Though it made no facial expressions, there was a vibe of satisfaction around the giant Heartless as it saw the snow covering the Imperial City. Hundreds of precious hearts would be buried beneath just right for the taking. A rich garden for his underlings to feast upon and grow ever stronger. There was an odd presence that it sensed in the distance. A dark presence but none of which resembled its kin or any Heartless for that matter. It was nothing to worry about at the moment. Until the thing revealed itself as a threat, the Kurt Zisa would ignore it. Besides, there were much better pickings in this vicinity.

Just when it was about to go hunting for more prey, a figure riding on a wave of water landed at its feet. The cobra like head cocked to the side. A meal coming right to him? How convenient! But wait... why had he not sensed it? It didn't take the Kurt Zisa long to figure out what the being truly was, and the realization only enraged it. It had not sensed the heart's approach because there was none to be found. This was nothing but a Nobody--a pest that had no right to exist and of no use to the Heartless.

Without hesitation, it raised both of its curved swords and brought them down towards the pest. A whirlwind of sharp ice would arise the moment its blades struck the ground, causing the blanket of deep snow to shift once again. It became like a deadly river of ivory, waiting to devour its next victim into its frozen depths. The only safe havens were large rocks whose peaks were just tall enough avoid being covered by the snow.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Meikai Thu Aug 18, 2016 3:49 am

Like a field of budding flowers, the stems of blight slowly breached the surface and quickly infected the snow, allowing Meikai to rise to the surface with little effort. She took notice of the giant that caused the avalanche than buried her, and she could see another layer of snow coming down the mountain. An infestor sprouted from her back and lent its crystalline wings to her, allowing her take to the skies as the second avalanche arrived.

Once was enough, but attempting to bury her a second time just didn't sit well with the herald, and she decided to see just what the giant creature was made of. Reaper's power was fully released as the last of its seal was peeled off. It morphed, revealing its true form. Its golden eye focused on the giant, and it was excited to get a chance at making a meal out of that creature's heart. Forget the small fry. It snarled, grinning with its rows of sharp teeth. It was more of a rifle than a sword now, which is how Meikai wanted it. Those gigantic curved blades were far too dangerous to deal with.

Now... what was this creature weak towards? She doubted it was Darkness, and Reaper couldn't yet use Light. Perhaps fire would suffice. Floating out of range of the Heartless' blades, Meikai fired three shots to the torso. The projectiles were fast as expected from a gun, and it made a hollow blast noise with each pull of the trigger. They were flaming, and upon impact, would hopefully scorch this Heartless. If any of those shots hit, a little blight seedling would have rooted onto the creature. But she knew she needed some more help to bring this creature down. Some of her knights perhaps, but they'd need wings first.

As she kept a manageable distance between her and the Heartless, she began spawning more and more infestors for her valiant knights, and a few extra in case she found suitable hosts among the populace below.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Sleep Thu Aug 18, 2016 4:07 pm

Sleep saw the blades moving at a speed shorter for him than the average person. As to why, the nobody had not a clue, but he felt the water under him lose touch, but a massive expulsion would drive him in faster, and his body flung upwards towards the vile creature. The cold air flew through his choppy blue locks and his eyes, yes his eyes were more prominent. they seemed to glow like an arcane crystal-- like the will to protect these innocents brought out something different in him. When the blades neared him, he willed with both hand a much larger wave than he had ever done. Perhaps the adrenaline in him was responsible, but on impact with his, fairly massive, tidal wave, Kurt's own swords would be parried...

The huge weapons' slapped a kiss on the grounds to both the far left, and the far right, and the walls of snowy materials would raise much the same way as they had been intended to be. -- Fortunately for Sleep, he was still moving through the air at a fast speed. High, high, high into the air-- easily passing by Kurt just as Meikai began to distract it. Sleep moved so much so, that he flew into the masses of circling clouds overhead, it was in that time that Meikai had began her assault.

There was less air up there, but Sleep was unaffected. He didn't require breath, so it was more of a euphoric feeling than anything life-threatening. It was comparable to a roller coaster. When he reached the highest peak his launch would take him, he felt his clothes pushing upward and his descent to the ground below. The foggy air around him prevented much sight until he was again outside of it.

Below now was a golden creature, reacting to shots of flame. Sleep didn't want to interfere, but he had nothing in him besides the ocean. He willed the molecules making up the clouds above to conjure into a mighty Tsunami, of which he planned to bring in all around him. The weight of this water would definitely affect his opposition. Quite frankly, this was a battle of environment, and with all this snow, and humidity, Sleep had the advantage. However, he didn't know how Meikai would fair against his own strategy; of course, he hadn't really noticed anything but her missiles of fire either.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Fri Aug 19, 2016 1:48 pm

The little rat of a Nobody managed to parry its attack, swinging its blades wide open with some sort of water spell. Magic was such a pesky thing, and one of the best ways to combat the dark monster. That would need to be fixed. With two of its arms, the Heartless conjured two red glowing spheres into its hands, drawing the mana from the two entities that confronted it. This would immediately interrupt any incantations that were currently being channeled. With these orbs in its possession, all abilities involving magic would be impossible to use as long as they were silenced. Until the orbs it held were destroyed there would be no way to use spells.

The bullets of fire bounced off the hard metal like skin of the Kurt Zisa, leaving a line of scorch marks on its chest as well as the corruption seed it had not yet noticed. So this dark creature somewhat similar to himself had decided to attack. Very well. It had no issues striking the thing down and taking its black heart. As she created minions to assault it, Kurt Zisa summoned its own. A number of Hook Bats answered the call, rushing in to combat the infestor blight creatures and keep them away from their master.

Setting its sights on Meikai, Kurt Zisa leaped up into the air, flipping towards her with a deadly dance of blades. Should it miss, it would repeat the action, turning its body horizontally and then vertically again like an unorthodox spinning top.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

The big one summoned a few fliers of its own, and seemed to have done something to her energies, feeling them suppressed. Luckily for her, magic isn't something she's dependent on, but the other fighter might be having trouble. She'd normally wouldn't care for what happens to other people, but she'd need him to be another target for the heartless. Another threat so she could go about her own business.

Her infestors weren't made for combat, but they would fight back, with fangs and stingers, if only to plant a seed of blight upon the bats. Bothersome things... but should they live long enough, the spread of blight into their beings would either kill them, or turn them into her minions. As for the big boy, it would take too much time to properly convert it. Once she had a sizable amount of corruption placed upon that creature, she'll take her leave and let the blight do the rest.

She barely dodged out of the way of the creature's blade, but her wings allowed her to swiftly maneuver out of harm's way. But she didn't expect such a large creature to be so agile, and only got enough time to react to the next move it made. Had it not been for Reaper, she could have been cleaved right in half with those blades. Reaper had bent to an acute angle after it was positioned between the herald and the heartless' blade. Meikai had sailed quite a ways through the air, which served to get her safely out of reach.

She had spotted some archers on one of the towers on the outer perimeter of the city. They'd be useful, she thought. With one unspoken command, the five infestors still with her swarmed the tower and tackled the archers, biting into the nape of their necks and clamping themselves into a suitable position. Within moments of thrashing, the soldiers got up, with purple veins spreading throughout their skin. They awaited, ready to be commanded.

Meikai went ahead and had Reaper straighten out, then fired upon the giant again, this time switching Reaper's projectiles to pure metal. With luck, it might be enough to penetrate the armor, or it could horribly ricochet towards unintended targets. The archers took flight, and aimed to destroy the red orbs. Meikai figured it was important, so she sent her minions to deal with them while the seeds were still being planted. The ones before had started to spread already, making a patch of blight the size of an open palm.

The infestors fighting the bats, by now, would have all perished, but they should (hopefully) have infected a large number of those smaller heartless, and the blight would slowly dig into the body in an attempt to kill or control the host.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Sleep Fri Aug 26, 2016 1:17 pm

Sleep fell from the skyline and plopped down hard against the snow, severeal feet under it even. It knocked him into a comatose state, if only slighty. He stayed there, regathering his consciousness before climbing his way out of the snow pit. He then started from a crawl into an all out sprint, raising bot hands and making a sweeping gesture from beind the Kurt.

The sweep would generate from the air, particles of snow contributing to it's size. Sleep didn't have much of an arsenal, but he'd make good of what he did have. His eyes picked up on smaller heartless darting after purple creatures. He concluded that this fight would not be an easy one.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Thu Sep 01, 2016 11:55 am

Snow was swept up into the air; a massive wave of ivory as the Kurt Zisa landed with an earth shattering boom. The damaged ground beneath its feet groaned, as if the world itself was expressing its agony. Meikai hovered above him with nary a scratch on her body. The cobra head flared its hood, letting out a vile hiss that could be heard across the snowy wastes. Not even nick? This was more than just luck, unfortunately. An impressive feat to be sure, but that only made the fiend twice as determined to slice Meikai to pieces.

Meanwhile, the Hook Bats dropped out of the sky with a screech not long after they had completed their purpose. That was all well and good. The Kurt Zisa could easily summon more if need be. The important thing was that those flying minions of Meikai were dead. At least for now. Oddly enough, one of the Heartless had not disappeared, but instead was lying in the snow twitching and flopping around. The blight was spreading over the Hook Bat little by little like tiny spiderwebs.

Before it could plan its next attack, a volley of arrows were fired upon the Heartless, effectively damaging one of the silencing orbs it held in its hand. The scimitars it held were brought down over to guard them to prevent any further damage from the archers, but that only lasted for a moment. Its attention was quickly turned back to Meikai as she unleashed a number of bullets directly towards the Heartless. They ricocheted off in different directions as the Kurt Zisa raised its blades, blocking them from the orbs. In doing so, however, its armor did take damage, denting the metal in several places. More Heartless were called after this. Their new objective was to eliminate the archers that his foe had ensnared.

Kurt Zisa realized it could not suffer Meikai flying around any longer. It left the Heartless with too much of a disadvantage. This bird needed to have its wings clipped. One of its heavy blades was swung forward; the mere force of the motion creating intense whirlwinds that were comprised of a deadly combination of ice and wind. They spanned the area, surrounding the blight witch in a howling gale. Flying would now be difficult and hazardous to continue unless countered.

Out of nowhere, it felt a gentle rush of snow across its backside, though that was not the intention of the attacker. However, this particular Kurt Zisa was not harmed by the cool harsh winter. That went for any attacks accented with such. It thrived in this this environment. The cobra head extended, looking down to see the Nobody it had forgotten about. They really were unamusing creatures. Reaching down, it attempted to grab the Nobody in its grasp. If successful, the Kurt Zisa would launch Sleep directly at Meikai.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Meikai Fri Sep 02, 2016 9:45 am

So those orbs did prove to be a good target judging from the Heartless' determination in protecting them. Now if only the Nobody could do something to help destroy it. She could perhaps provide the other fighter with a pair of wings, but they normally didn't tend to react well to it, usually whining about the pain and struggling to rip it off of their backs. And her infestors didn't have the luxury of time in completely overpowering the Nobody, so there was no luck with that, unless she could trap him in an area out of the giant's sight.

Meikai looked at the giant with a smirk. She had enough seeds laid out now, and even though the armor only dented, the corruption can still arise from that seemingly inconsequential patch of dark purple. The giant swung again, but this time it generated blasted winds that were strong enough to damage the infestors' wings, much to her annoyance. With a simple mental command, all infestors retracted their wings and allowed the bodies to drop from fatal heights.

The soldiers she had overpowered fell flat, and remained unmoving for a time, but as the blight reasserted itself, it forced the mangled bodies to stand once again, forcing the cadavers back to action, ignoring any broken bones. Now, it wasn't fair to call them corpses, since the people were still alive, and feeling the blinding pain without any filters, but the blight has prevented them from screaming, though the quivers of their muscles told of the pain the men were suffering. By now, the fleshy blight had covered nearly all of the individuals, which allowed the bodies to be reanimated in a way, but due to the broken bones, the bodies weren't all that sturdy anymore. But they could very well draw their bows still, however, they'd be hard pressed on hitting the orbs from their angle.

But what about Meikai? Well she fired a few shells into the ground and had the blight spread on the spot where she'd land, and she simply dove into it like she had just jumped into a pool, minus the splashes. She was now out of sight, but left a blob of blight that vaguely resembled her, faced down as if she had had a really bad belly flop into the proverbial pool.

The infected Hook Bat seemingly recovered, and was now flying up towards the Kurt Zisa as if to resume a defensive post, but was aiming to do something more sinister. It wanted to find a soft spot to infect. On the topic of infection, the seeds of blight now rapidly spread from the areas where Meikai's shots landed, but unfortunately, the spread couldn't hope to overpower the giant yet, due to its sheer size, and the fact that a creature of this strength couldn't be held down so easily, even if it were covered in blight, fully. In the next few moments, the blight would start to be noticeable to the giant as the spots merged. Certain spots would begin to swell, not unlike how certain heartless appear from the darkness.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

-- Free:
Sleep generates water for abilities at no cost. He can summon as much as he needs, as defined in the skills. He is a master of water by default; meaning he can control more than just water created specifically by him. Because of his connection to water, he can naturally breathe under it. If he loses limbs, he can recreate them by adding water to his body. His swim speed is also treated one tier higher at all times.
Base Ability Cool Down: Passive

The giant was hit by the snow but seemed to progress past it, normally, Sleep would be annoyed that his attack didn't do anything. But this wasn't a normal conditioning. On the contrary it would be doing something far different than what everyone else had probably suspected. The nobody had bent most of the foamy white snow into a liquid state before it collapsed across the targets back, hence how he was able to move it in the first place. He then shifted the entirety of it into a liquid state once it did make contact-- which was the desired outcome of his nearing combo. With a smirk, the snow completely changed it's chemical make-up, and sharp, pressurized blades of water would hopefully pierce into the beast's joint's and weak spots under the armor tat it was now flooding around. Because of all the ''snow'' having been left running across Kurt Siza's body, this attack would surely have to create some sort of positive outcome on Sleep's end.

This plot was done in between Kurt aiming to grab him up and launch him, so it would now undoubtedly fail. That's when the Nobody would combine more hydrogen and oxygen in the air to create a shredding wave of water, pointed directly onto one of the Kurt's orbs. The wave would rip and tear at the enemies orb-hand, hopefully snatching off more than just what it was designating. In the meantime, Sleep found his eyes glancing off at the numerous purples darting around the area, and or falling from the sky.

White Water, Rushing Ravine: Strike with a large wave of water, the water becomes pressurized to be as sharp as a sword in cutting power, however this skill shreds, rather than slices. Ripping and tearing instead of generic cutting.
Cooldown: None.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Thu Sep 08, 2016 10:54 pm

The Kurt Zisa’s actions were brought to a stop as the Nobody transformed the snow into sharp blades of water, ripping and tearing at its vulnerable areas where its limbs connected. In that moment, its intention to grab changed into a slam, leaving a deep indent in the ground. He had managed to destroy the sphere Meikai had weakened, leaving only one orb left that prevented the use of mana. Being as quick as he was, the Heartless could only assume that the pest had evaded and kept its focus on him, launching a blade at Sleep that boomeranged back to its hand. Meikai would not be a problem, or so it had assumed.

The whirlwinds had done their job, tearing apart the infestors with ease. If beings like that were cut to pieces, there was no doubt the mortal had suffered a similar fate. Kurt Zisa fell for Meikai’s ruse, believing that she had fallen to her death in the strange black puddle, something that definitely wasn’t darkness. The fiend had little time to ponder that, however. Manuvering the icy gale once again, they consumed the blighted archers, slicing them to pieces, a torturous death indeed.

The last thing Kurt Zisa expected was for its own minion attack. The Hook Bat had flown up behind the giant Heartless unnoticed and dug its red hook into the exposed socket of its arm, the same one that held the orb.  In a single slash, the flier was disposed of. It was then that the Kurt Zisa realized the black webbing that covered its entire body, moving into the subtle cracks on its armor and into the latest injury the Hook Bat had inflicted. What was even more alarming was that certain spots were swelling. Its first instinct was to rip it off, taking giant hunks of the black goo and flinging it away from itself while somersaulting around the battlefield for good measure. With each landing, the ground shook and groaned.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Meikai Sat Sep 10, 2016 10:13 pm

The hand that grabbed the blight, while able to dispose of some of the organic webbing, had inadvertently spread the corruption on itself. The archers were gone, and the bat as well, but it did its job. The icy flurry was troublesome as it impeded on her operations, and got in the way of its expansion. But despite that, the corrupted matter continued to function as intended. The swelling spots that weren't disposed of birthed a couple of creatures, looking like something out of a horror movie.

Several torso-shaped monsters crawled along the blight and onto uninfected areas, leaving a trail of the vile matter in its wake. It spread out towards all possible directions. Just under the chest area of the heartless appeared a tentacle which began lashing out at the Kurt's body, slamming its barbed stem against the surface in an attempt to break the armor underneath the blight.

On the back where the bat made its mark, another tentacle appeared, which coiled around the nearest arm, aiming to immobilize the limb and tightening around it, slowly crushing it. At least that was the plan, but the exterior was hard. The most that single tentacle could do was become an inconvenience.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Fri Sep 16, 2016 3:51 pm

It was no use. The more Kurt Zisa pulled upon the blight the worse it became. There had to be someway to get this vile goo off of its body. Calling upon his underlings, a Wizard Heartless along with a group of Red Nocturnes assembled around him. If force could not cease the spread then perhaps fire would burn the corruption away. The blight that had reached the inside of his body was doing a good job at weakening the armor, and there wasn't much the Heartless could do to make it stop. If the fires didn't work it would have to try other ideas. The smaller tentacle was also rather troublesome. Though it was attempting to crush its arm, the cobra Heartless seemed to be okay. For now at least. At the moment, it was just annoying. As long as the second orb was out of its reach, he could deal with that.

Giving the his minions the signal, the Wizard raised its staff forming an array of tiny fireballs and sending them at the blight that still clung to its master. The smaller Crimson Nocturnes focused their attention on the creatures that had been birthed from the blobs that Kurt Zisa had managed to rip off. They started setting the mountainside aflame, casting fire upon anything that remotely resembled the black infection. This seemed to be where the distorted monsters were drawing their strength from and so it had to go. As the smaller Heartless continued their assault their master, while damaged by the flames, had found some relief. The wild magic of the Wizard had burned most of the blight on the shell, and weakened the tentacle on the inside to an extent. More fire would be need to destroy it completely, if that were even possible.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Meikai Sun Sep 18, 2016 12:00 pm

The monster had made a grave mistake. While the creatures of blight were writhing in pain and agony brought about by the flames, the smoke was close to pitch black, and compared to a normal fire, the smoke generated was generous, suffocating a fairly large area from air and light. The smog gave Meikai the opening she needed to safely reemerge. What a delightful chance that was. One of the blighted torsos made it to the back of the large creature while on fire. Before reaching its limit, the creature burst, spreading the blight further.

As the blight continued to burn clean off of the creature, failing to outgrow the flames due to the numerous heartless flinging fire at it and its master, Meikai resurfaced from the area where the torso popped, bearing a sharp grin and eyes out for blood. Her killing intent couldn't be clearer, if only the smoke didn't conceal her. Reaper formed into a large sword with sharp, serrated edges. As Meikai rose up from the blight, she kept herself tethered to the monster using her demonic matter to stick to it.

The joints were always the weakness in armor. It could never be completely covered up, or else it would restrict the wearer's movement. It was time to see if that held true with monsters like this. She thrust the sword into a joint of one of the monster's arms in an attempt to pierce, and dismember. No doubt she would be bombarded once the giant finds out where she was, but that was not one of her worries. She was burning already, but that did not dissuade her.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Post by Lore Moogle Sun Sep 25, 2016 10:50 pm

The fire only seemed to make matters worse, and with the blight spreading further and further, the Heartless were running out of ideas. When hitting something didn't work, they were usually at a loss. However, much like the other massive Heartless, the Kurt Zisa was an anomaly that had proven it could think on a higher level--almost if not equal to a Dusk Nobody. One good thing that came from the fire was that the blight was shriveling up on its armor. The fire appeared to have done that much, but the smoke that resulted from it created a whole new problem. Heartless were adept at slinking through the darkness no problem. It was their element--their heart. This smoke was something else. It fought against them, making it difficult for the fiends to see.

As the Kurt Zisa swatted blindly at the smoke, one of Meikai's creatures exploded giving her the perfect opportunity to emerge from her black pool. It remained unaware of the blight witch's present until her sinister blade found a niche in its battered and burning armor. It wailed, a sound of nails on stone and hissing snakes. The arm holding the last orb went limp, destroying the final barrier that prevented the use of mana. With a groan, the heartless crashed to the ground, weakened for a mere moment. The cobra head snapped out at anything that came near it, while its minions that were still alive blindly bombarded their foe.

As this was going on, the snow began to move and shift again, though instead of running down hill as a normal avalanche, it turned inwards on itself transforming into a vortex with Kurt Zisa at its midpoint. Any structures that had not been crushed by the previous avalanches were now completely covered or swept away by this new phenomenon. Soon the wind began to pick up, the small cyclones that the leader had created before began to converge. Added to the new power it had gathered, an intense blizzard was created that expanded the entire region, swirling like a tornado that allowed nothing in nor out. Ice shards were swept up in its flow, cutting and impaling anyone and anything within the storm like tiny knives. The winds generated from this were fierce, ripping up huge rocks that had been steeped in the earth for centuries and flinging them through the air with ease. Meikai's smoke would soon dissipate, and the Heartless would be able to see once more. With the unsteady ground, the fierce winds, and raining ice, Kurt Zisa was confident this could keep the witch away long enough to recover its strength.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Her attack was successful, and now the blight started to spread from the socket, though the fires didn't allow it to progress. However, something started to happen. The winds picked up quite suddenly, swirling around the giant. It had created a storm that tried to wrench Meikai away, however the blight under her locked her in place, however she wouldn't be able to move. Slowly, her body laid flat against the giant's own body and the blight blanketed her protectively. While shards of ice would occasionally pierce through, the pain only made her killing intent stronger.

It was a good thing oxygen wasn't something she needed to stay alive. So long as the blight within was still strong, so shall the body remain. One thing however... the fires needed oxygen as well, and being in a vortex, that meant there was nothing to sustain the fires anymore. Unfortunately, most of the blight had been burnt off, and the only place it was present was right where she was holding on to for dear life. She could still take advantage of this... somehow...

With a grin, she ordered the blight to release flakes of itself. The specs of blight would be taken by the cyclone, sticking to anything that it ran into while swirling around the vortex. This was a huge mistake the Heartless made. It only ensured that the blight would spread farther and quicker. Maybe not onto itself, but once this storm died down, a large area of this world would have been blighted.Well now... with the world so weakened by this brutal attack, Meikai might be able to pick up the pieces and rearrange the world to her liking. For a creature that hadn't submitted to the blight, it served her well.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

The woman was a tick that the Kurt Zisa just couldn't seem to get thrown off. It's minions had been caught up in the whirlwind of ice and snow, so they were of no help. Even with the air sucked out through the vortex, Meikai still hung on. What was this thing? If it didn't sense her heart, the Kurt Zisa could almost mistake her for a Heartless. There was so much about her actions and movements that were reminiscent of the darkness. But Meikai wasn't a Heartless, and she still had to die. And it had to rip her off his back!

Diving under the snow, it rolled down the mountain, bumping over rocks and houses, it kept on its path of destruction until it finally sprung back up through the icy sheets, rolling across the Imperial Square and crashing right through the palace. There was an explosion. Splinters of wood, debris, and people were flung in all directions--and they were the lucky ones. Those unfortunate enough not to be thrown by the force of the crash were crushed under the weight of the giant Heartless. Rising back to its feet. Kurt Zisa let out a screech. Had he removed the pest this time? It was beginning to feel the drain of the blight on its body.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

This will be the final boss post, kupo. The Heartless have attained victory. You will be allowed one post to respond. Remember, do not continue to fight a hopeless battle. To do so will result in death, but that is up to you. Your fate is in your hands. Sometimes the best tactic is to retreat, Kupo.

Just when it seemed that the Blight Witch was about to gain her victory over the Heartless, something changed, a faint ripple surged through the air, bending the very fabric of reality. As the Kurt Zisa prepared to engage the witch in combat once more, it fell short of its strike, frozen in place as its cobra like head gazed down to the ground below. It was then the entire world began to shake. Starting from the center of what remained of the Imperial Palace, an innocent black dot appeared. It increased in size, expanding over the palace and further until almost the entire city had been swallowed. Black smoke quickly filled the air; an all consuming darkness that spread from the ruined city to the snowy mountaintops until the presence of the sun vanished altogether. A portal had been created directly from the End of the World, and what lay within that abyss was a creature beyond any common man’s comprehension of horror. A glowing reptilian eye appeared within its depths, an eye so large that the giant portal could only reveal half of it.

The blight that lay upon the ground disintegrated the moment the shadowy tendrils came into contact, leaving not even a trace of its presence. This darkness came from a creature more powerful than all the Heartless lords invading the worlds put together and more. The blight was no match for the strength of this unknown being.

As the eye disappeared, it was replaced with the very tip of a dark monstrous claw, making the Kurt Zisa appear as a dwarf Heartless in comparison. An aura suddenly enveloped the injured leader, causing its armor to turn red and sprout black spikes all along its now mended body. The single cobra head split into five, hissing and spitting a venomous spray that burned all it touched. This was no longer the Heartless that Meikai had been fighting.

Once the Kurt Zisa received the blessing of this god-like Heartless, more of them poured out from the portal, ranging from the lowliest of shadows to the towering darksides. There was no hope. The Land of Dragons would be claimed by darkness this day. From the night sky, another void was left in the wake of a dying star.

Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa Empty Re: Land of Dragons Raid: Kurt Zisa

Everything was going smoothly. The heartless was desperate to get her off, and burrowing into the ground to scrape her off was effective for the fact that the ground acted like a cheese grater against her, shredding up her body as the creature continued on. She eventually decided to detach herself before she suffered irreversible damage on this host body, but anchored herself to the creature's foot with a vine of blight so she could still follow it out, using an infector's wings to keep herself from being dragged on the ground. It let out a screech which Meikai thought was from anger.

She raised her gun, aiming to hit the eyes, but suddenly the world started to shake and she felt a greater presence seeping into the world. Some sort of eye peered into the world. An unknown power effectively deleted the blight she had begun to spread, which got her intrigued and at the same time made her feel threatened. Who could possibly do such a thing?

Reaper growled, sensing an even greater presence from the darkness. The heartless she was fighting started to change, seemingly evolving to a greater form. From the crack in space, heartless started to flood back into this hapless world. It was time to retreat. There was no sense in risking her life here when she had very little left to gain. Reaper's eye glowed brightly, which spread around itself and its wielder before breaking to reveal that they were no longer there. How strange. The heartless were much stronger that she anticipated.
